The easiest way to arrive to our destination is by flying. There are daily flight connections from Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo to the local airports. From London there is a direct connection to Tromsö.

By plane: The closest airports in Finland are located in Kittilä and Enontekiö. Several airline companies operate from Helsinki to Kittilä and one to Enontekiö. The flights to Enontekiö are operated only in winter, two times per week on Thursdays and Sundays.

By train and bus from the South:
You may access Finnish Lapland by train from Helsinki or Turku, the journey is approximately 800km. This is the most environmentally friendly way to access our destination. The most convenient way is to take a night train, but if you like to watch the landscapes on the way, there are of course several morning and day departures available as well. The most Northern railway stations in Lapland are in Rovaniemi and in Kolari. From the railway stations there are bus connections to Muonio and Enontekiö.

Bus from Finland to Norway


In summertime Eskelisen Lapin Linjat (Finnish bus company) operates regular traffic also to Norway. You can travel by bus from Enontekiö to Kautokeino and Alta. The route is operated on the daily basis.

Norway



The land of mountains and fjords, Northern Norway, is the easiest to access by aircraft. There are airports in Tromsö and Alta. From London is a direct flight to Tromsö, and otherwise there are direct flights from Oslo. The airport of Enontekiö in Finland is only 50 minutes away from Kautokeino. There is car rental possibility at the airports of Tromsö and Alta.

By train: It is possible to access the city of Narvik, in Norway, by train from Stockholm. In Narvik you can hire a car or take a bus to Tromsö. There are three daily busses from Narvik to Tromsö. Travel to Tromsö and Lyngen, information on busses and internal flights

Boat: Don't forget that you can access Northern Norway by a cruiseline as well. Hurtigruten's cruises take you from Bergen all the way to Tromsö or Skjervöy. Hurtigruten
